HEALTH ADVANTAGES OF STRAIGHT TEETH

You may be shocked to know that the advantages of having properly straightened teeth extend far beyond a self-confident smile. The American Dental Association says, straightening your teeth can truly significantly change your overall dental wellness. A smile can rarely be perfect if it’s not a healthy one. Luckily, with Invisalign®, holding a confident smile and decreasing your risk for tooth decay and gum disease go together.

STRAIGHTER HEALTHIER TEETH AND GUMS

Enlarged, red gums can usually be the result of having teeth that are crowded or too broadly spaced. Sadly, these are also symptoms of periodontal disease. When teeth are correctly aligned, it supports the gums fit more securely encompassing the teeth, allowing for the most effective and healthiest barrier against possible periodontal problems. This is where Invisalign comes in. The comfortable and transparent aligners lightly and steadily begin to move your teeth into the precise position — without ugly brackets and wires.

CLEANING

The biggest objections of having braces is eliminating all the food that gets caught in the brackets and wires. This will often lead to plaque accumulation and ultimately tooth decay. With Invisalign, the aligners are detachable, so it’s natural to maintain brushing and flossing your teeth the way you regularly do.

FULL HEALTH BENEFITS

Your teeth and gums and how they look to another when you smile, say a lot about your overall well-being. If you’re taking sufficient care of both, you’re presumably taking good care of the rest of you.

Tooth decay and gum disease are produced by bacteria. Untreated, they can produce mouth sores, painful or bleeding gums, poor breath, and potential tooth loss. Studies by the (ADA) American Dental Association have confirmed that oral contaminations can also lead to other more severe ailments such as stroke, pneumonia, heart disease, and diabetes. Invisalign aligners make regular oral hygiene easier, thus decreasing the risk of potential problems. All the while correctly aligning teeth, this can also relieve the issues that can be created by an abnormal bite, speech or eating difficulties, jaw issues, and developed wear on the tooth enamel. Invisalign completely addresses all of these orthodontic concerns, so you’ll have the assurance of a great smile and improve the likelihood of increased oral health.

Testimonials

  • Dr. Boatman and his staff took amazing care of my family for years and years. When my job took us away from the area, we were all sad to lose him as our dentist. Flash forward a few years to yesterday. I developed a tooth problem my dentist couldn’t get to the bottom of, so I called Dr. Boatman’s office and said if I drove 6+ hours to see him if they would work me in even though it had been a few years since I’d been a regular patient. Of course, they were more than happy to do so. To make a long story short, Dr. Boatman, as usual, expertly got to the root of the problems (pun intended) and this morning I awoke pain free! God bless Troy Family Dental…a level of service so rare in this day and age!
